For any family, neurotypical or neurodiverse, heading to college can feel daunting. For most students, this is their first time away from home and out from under the watchful eyes of their parents. Students are expected to be independent thinkers and know how to balance the demands of college-level work while navigating roommates and an abundance of 'free time'.
Your time with College Bound Thinkers will support you in:
Reading emails and accessing your online portal, including the many, many different ways professors use your portal.
Choosing classes and understanding academic requirements
Understanding undecided/undeclared versus a declared major (the pros and cons)
What to do if/when you get your first bad grade or find yourself at risk of failing a class.
Navigating the Student Accessibility Services/Academic Resource offices
Deciding on a major that fits your interests and learning style
